The Assateague Island Visitor Center (MD district) and the Toms Cove Visitor Center (VA district) are now cashless. Entrance passes and donations are CARD ONLY.
For any cash entrance fees or donations, please visit the Ranger Station (MD district).
Beginning Monday, January 1, 2024 entrance passes will no longer be sold at the Toms Cove Visitor Center (VA district). This transition is being made to reduce duplication, improve efficiencies and to remain in compliance with National Park Service Fee Collection regulations.

The America the Beautiful – The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Series is your ticket to more than 2,000 federal recreation sites across the United States. Passes cover entrance fees at lands managed by the National Park Service and US Fish & Wildlife Service and also standard amenity fees (day use fees) at lands managed by the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, and US Army Corps of Engineers.
