Trust for the National Mall

Look for the opening of Franklin Park in 2021, a major restoration of the site thanks to donations from the Downtown DC Business Improvement District and the City of Washington DC. Design and construction of the new US Park Police Horse Stables and Education Center began in 2020. This project was made possible with donations from the Trust for the National Mall. National Mall and Memorial Parks also celebrated the construction of the National World War I Memorial, scheduled to open in 2021.

The Kennedy Center collaborated with the National Park Service to install a new pedestrian bridge that links National Mall and Memorial Parks sites to their new REACH programming venue.
