National Mall and Memorial Parks Collaborations 2020
Sheila Johnson, Vice Chair of the Trust for the National Mall, led the campaign to restore the US Park Police Horse Stables and build the new Education Center, opening early 2022.
Trust for the National Mall
Look for the opening of Franklin Park in 2021, a major restoration of the site thanks to donations from the Downtown DC Business Improvement District and the City of Washington DC. Design and construction of the new US Park Police Horse Stables and Education Center began in 2020. This project was made possible with donations from the Trust for the National Mall. National Mall and Memorial Parks also celebrated the construction of the National World War I Memorial, scheduled to open in 2021.
John Shore
The Kennedy Center collaborated with the National Park Service to install a new pedestrian bridge that links National Mall and Memorial Parks sites to their new REACH programming venue.

Southwest BID Environmental Ambassadors maintain Banneker and other NPS parks located near the SW Waterfront.
