An entrance pass is not required to access Alaska Public Lands .

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

2025 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

• Thursday, January 9 — National Day of Mourning for President James Earl Carter Jr.
• Monday, January 20 — Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
• Saturday, April 19 — First Day of National Park Week
• Thursday, June 19 — Juneteenth National Independence Day
• Monday, August 4 — Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
• Saturday, September 27 — National Public Lands Day
• Tuesday, November 11 — Veterans Day

 

Interagency America the Beautiful Passes

The Anchorage and Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Centers are able to issue Interagency America the Beautiful passes. Check their current operating hours. Interagency passes may not be available every day. Please call [phone] (Anchorage) or [phone] (Fairbanks) to ensure availability.

If passes are not available at the Alaska Public Lands Information Centers, there are nearby locations that may have passes.

Anchorage:

The Bureau of Land Management - State Office Public Room, located at 222 W 7th Ave, #13 is open 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday. Please call [phone] to confirm operating hours and pass availability.

Fairbanks:

The Bureau of Land Management - Fairbanks District Public Room, located at 222 University Ave., is open 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Please call [phone] to confirm operating hours and pass availability.

Denali National Park and Preserve:

Passes are available at the Denali Visitor Center (Mile 1.5 of the Denali Park Road) and at the Walter Harper Talkeetna Ranger Station (Downtown Talkeetna). Visit Denali's Fee and Passes page for more information.

Alaska State Park Passes

The Anchorage and Fairbanks Alaska Public Lands Information Centers offer Alaska State Park Annual Day-Use Parking Passes. Annual Day-Use Parking and Boat Launch Passes may also be purchased online using the State Park Pass Order Form.
