DEL RIO, TEXAS- Because of low water levels at Amistad National Recreation Area, Box Canyon boat ramp will be closed. Currently, the Box Canyon Parking will remain open.
On April 12, Box Canyon boat ramp will be closed because low water levels have created safety concerns. The Diablo East, Rough Canyon Marina low water, Southwinds, and Spur 454 boat ramps remain open. For the current status of boat ramps in Amistad National Recreation Area, check our Boat Ramp Status chart.
While boating, please remain alert to potential low-water hazards on the lake and rivers. As always, please clean, drain, and dry your boat, trailer, and equipment to prevent the transfer of invasive aquatic species.
