Our next Evening on the Summit is Saturday, August 5 at 8:00 pm in the Visitor Center. This presentation, Accidents on the Allegheny Portage Railroad, is presented by Doug Bosley. 

There were many accidents during the days that the Allegheny Portage Railroad was in operation. This presentation will explore some of those accidents using period accounts from newspapers and what caused them.
