Beginning this week park crews will start removing snow from Park Loop Road and other snow-filled access roads using plows and other heavy equipment in preparation for opening. Visitors walking or skiing on motor roads should be aware that they may encounter park vehicles and heavy equipment during weekdays. Road crews will not be working on weekends. In a normal year, Park Loop Road would open on April 15, but delays in opening the roads are expected due to heavy snow and slow melting that is occurring.
