The National Park Service and Acadia National Park Advisory Commission are hosting an informational dialogue about the management and use of the Schoodic District at Acadia National Park. The public is invited to join us for a conversation on Thursday, December 8, from 7 to 9 pm at Moore Hall at the Schoodic Education and Research Center in Winter Harbor.

Park leadership staff will provide brief presentations followed by open discussion on a variety of topics of interest to the neighboring communities. At the start of the meeting, we will invite participants to add other topics to the discussion. Local representatives of the Acadia National Park Advisory Commission, Katherine Heidinger and Jackie Johnston, will be on hand.

“We look forward to hearing from members of the community and learning more about their perspectives on how we manage the Schoodic District,” said Superintendent Kevin Schneider. “This informational dialogue is a chance for us to hear directly from those who have close connections to the park at Schoodic and care so much about this special place.”

For more information about the informational dialogue, please contact John Kelly, Management Assistant, at 207-288-8703 or john_t_kelly@nps.gov.
