On Monday, February 3, 2014, the Acadia Advisory Commission will meet at park headquarters on Eagle Lake Road at 1 pm. Superintendent Sheridan Steele will report on the Fiscal Year 2014 budget, proposed opening dates for roads and facilities, the 2016 Centennial planning process, and the status of Schoodic Institute's recruitment effort for a new president/CEO. Updates on the food and shops concession contract, air tour management, and Schoodic Woods campground will also be presented. Committee reports will include information regarding various construction projects, fee changes and compliance, and 2013 visitor use statistics and the impact of the October 2013 shutdown, as well as information about the park's new wayside exhibits and Twitter account. Other committee reports will include updates on SERC, Acadia and Otter Creek community activities, and the Ashley Bryant exhibit at the Islesford Historical Museum this summer.
