Casey Barber is a visual storyteller who melds writing, illustration, and photography in pieces that spark the senses. Equally inspired by the local foodways and diverse landscapes of the United States, she explores the intersection of food and American culture with humor and insight. Casey is the founder and editor of the website Good. Food. Stories. and the author of two cookbooks: Pierogi Love: New Takes on an Old-World Comfort Food and Classic Snacks Made from Scratch: 70 Homemade Versions of Your Favorite Brand-Name Treats. Her work has appeared in numerous national publications and juried exhibitions, including the 2020 Rockefeller Center Flag Project. She received a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in English and visual art/art history from Bucknell University.
