The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace NHP will host a Night Sky Program at the Knob Creek of the park on Friday, October 13th. Eastern Kentucky University will conduct the program which begins at 8:00 p.m. EST and will provide telescopes for visitors to look through. Visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight, sturdy shoes, and a sweater - just in case!
If you have never been to a National Park at night, this is a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxed, crisp, and casual atmosphere at the site. No reservations are required.
There will be complimentary hot and cold apple cider along with a bag of galaxy dough for kids to take home and play with - while supplies last.
For more information or to register, call the park at 270-358-3137 or visit www.nps.gov/abli.
