Abraham Lincoln Birthday - Friday, February 12
A wreath laying ceremony will be conducted by park staff at 10:00 am eastern time to honor the 212th birthday of Abraham Lincoln.

March:

National Park Day - Saturday, March 20

April:

Now He Belongs to the Ages - A Lighting and Shroud Memorialization event in rememberance of Lincoln's Assassination and Death - April 11 - 18.

National Park Week - April 17 - 25
An annual Presidential proclaimed week for the celebration and recognition of your National Parks.

Junior Ranger Day - Saturday, April 17. The park will celebrate National Junior Ranger Day with events all day.

May:

Memorial Day - Monday, May 31
Start of Summer Season - park will be open daily from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm eastern time.
Interpretive programs given daily, check with information desk for times and location.

Lincoln Boyhood Home at Knob Creek will be open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm eastern time and staffed as staff is available*

*The Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek site will be closed August 3, 2020, to July 31, 2021, due to the Lincoln Tavern Rehabilitation Project.

July:

August:

Founders Day - Wednesday, August 25
The National Park Service was created on this date in 1916. Founders Day is an opportunity for parks to show our pride, connect with our visitors, and reflect on the importance of the National Park Service mission.

September:

Labor Day - Monday, September 6
End of Summer Season - The Visitor Center and park grounds will be open daily from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm eastern time.
The Memorial Building closes at 4:30 pm eastern time.

The grounds of Abraham Lincoln Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek will be open daylight hours year-round with interpretive staff as staff is available*

*The Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek site will be closed August 3, 2020, to July 31, 2021, due to the Lincoln Tavern Rehabilitation Project.

Walk Through Lincoln's Life - September 15 and 16
An educational curriculum based event for school children and adults. The public is invited.

U. S. Constitution Week - September 18 - 24
Marks the anniversary of the U. S. Constitution being written, signed, and approved in 1787.

Public Lands Day - Saturday, September 25
Is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands that Americans enjoy.

October:

Night Sky Program at the Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek - Friday, October 8. Rain date is October 15.

Knob Creek Tavern Grand Reopening - Saturday, October 9.

November:

Veterans Day - Thursday, November 11

Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 25
Park is closed for the holiday.

December:

Christmas Day - Saturday, December 25
Park is closed for the holiday.

Note:

All events listed will take place at the Birthplace Unit on US 31E three miles south of Hodgenville, KY. The park operates on eastern time.

The Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek is located on US 31E six miles north of Hodgenville, KY.
