A construction project to repair the stairs leading up to the park's Memorial Building and drain installation is set to begin the week of April 3, 2017. Due to this project, the stairs will be closed from April 3 to May 26, 2017.
The first phase of this project took place last year and this phase will complete the project. A fence will be placed around the staircase leading up to the Memorial Building. Access to the Memorial Building will be the path leading from the wooden boardwalk that begins at the park's visitors center.
The park will remain open and daily operations may be minimally impacted.
