HODGENVILLE, Ky – The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park will be closing at 2:00 p.m. (ET) today, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 due to the incoming storms and severe weather.
The park will be closing early to protect the safety of both park visitors and employees.
Severe storms are expected to move through the local area starting this afternoon and lasting through this evening. These storms could produce heavy downpours, damaging winds, flash flooding, large hail and tornadoes are possible.
