Abraham Lincoln Birthplace Plans for Power Outage

Starting Monday, July 9, 2018, and ending July 13, 2018, the park will be upgrading its electrical system in the Birthplace visitor center. During this time there will be no electrical power in the building. As a result, there will be no interior lights or air conditioning, and the park orientation fill will not be shown. 

The Birthplace visitor center will remain staffed during this project and visitors will have limited access to the inside of the building to obtain information, make purchases in the park's bookstore and view some exhibits. Restroom facilities will be available. 

There will be normal operations in all other areas of the park.
