HODGENVILLE, KY - Abraham Lincoln Birthplace NHP will host the Spring Night Sky Program “Starry, Starry Night” at the Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek on Friday, May 12, 2023. The visitor center will open at 7:30 p.m. (ET), and night sky themed activities will be available.
Dr. Mark Pitts of Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of Physics, Geosciences, and Astronomy will provide a tour of the spring night sky and will discuss topics including stars, planets, light pollution, and dark skies. The program will begin at dark and will end no later than 10:00 p.m. (ET.)
Visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight and a blanket or chair, wear sturdy shoes, and weather appropriate clothing.
