A Special Bicentennial Celebration of Independence Day

Living History Presentations honoring July 4th Independence Day

First Person re-enactors: Eric Franz, Jeremy White, and Vestal Rodgers will host a Civil War encampment between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be a special program at 11:00 a.m.: entitled "Mr. Lincoln Looks Back" and then at 2:00 p.m. “Day in a Soldier’s Life: The American Civil War" will be presented. These events are FREE and there is no admission to the park

The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Park is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time

The Lincoln Boyhood Home at Knob Creek is open and located 11 miles northeast of the Birthplace Unit on U.S. Highway 31E. The Lincoln family moved to the Knob Creek farm from the Sinking Spring farm (Birthplace Unit) and lived there from 1811 to 1816.
