Though one could spend an entire day enjoying the beauty of Scotts Bluff National Monument, plan a stay for a minumum of two hours to fully enjoy the park. Browsing the exhibits in the museum, watching our 12-minute video on the Oregon Trail, driving to the top of the bluff and hiking our trails are the most popular activities at Scotts Bluff. Did You Know?
The Summit Road at Scotts Bluff National Monument is believed to be the oldest existing concrete road in the state of Nebraska. The road allows visitors to drive to the top of the bluff through three tunnels for a spectacular view of the valley.
