Cane River National Heritage Area has been the location used for movies that include The Horse Soldiers, Steel Magnolias, The Man in the Moon and used in 2006 for the TV movie "A Year Without Santa" starring John Goodman. The lastest movie "For Sale by Owner" stars Scott Cooper and Tom Skerritt.
