Copper Center, AK. Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve will offer Covid-19 adapted visitor services this summer. As the National Park Service (NPS) monitors and responds to the COVID-19 pandemic, we work closely with the NPS Office of Public Health to use the latest science to guide our decision making.

Modifications to park operations are adjusted on an NPS unit-by-unit basis as park managers monitor local conditions and evaluate each facility function and service. To protect the health of those who live, work, and visit our national parks and facilities, and in support of the President’s Executive Order on Protecting the Federal Workforce and Requiring Mask-Wearing, face masks are required in all NPS buildings and facilities. National Park Service is also reducing occupancy limits for facilities because parks draw visitors from around the country as well as internationally, and visitors to parks often come from outside of the local area, including from significant or high transmissions areas of the country. The following locations will have visitor services this summer:

Slana Ranger Station: May 24th-September 25th; 9:00am–5:00pm; window services; Dial-A-Ranger at (907) 822-7401; and Alaska Geographic sales.
