Copper Center, AK – On June 19, Elwood Lynn began serving as the Interim Superintendent of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. Lynn comes to Wrangell-St. Elias from Denali National Park, where he served as Assistant Superintendent. Lynn has worked for the Park Service for 34 years in such parks as Glacier, Crater Lake, Rocky Mountain, and Carlsbad Caverns. He will serve as superintendent until a permanent replacement can be found. Meg Jensen, the previous superintendent of Wrangell-St. Elias, retired from the Park Service in early June.
