On the 27th of February a delegation of Iraqi women participating in a Department of State program visited Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, NY. The park is the site of the First Women’s Rights Convention which was held in July of 1848. The five Iraqi visitors were touring sites in the United States to learn about women in American society and their roles as political and social leaders. The visit was part of the International Visitor Leadership Program. The program brings participants to the United States from all over the world each year to meet and confer with their professional counterparts and to experience the U.S. firsthand.
