Events + Programs

Most events at Wilson's Creek National Battlefield include family-friendly activities. View the park calendar.

Living History Programs

Artillery and small arms demonstrations are available most Saturdays during the summer months. Before firing, kids are encouraged to explore reproductions of Civil War artifacts and talk to a living history soldier.

Junior Ranger Day

Junior Ranger Day, celebrated annually, invites families out to join activities, such as historical games, crafts, and guided hikes.

Junior Ranger Program

Junior Rangers complete activities in a booklet as they explore the museum and battlefield, then return to the Visitors Center for their badge. Learn more about Wilson Creek's Junior Ranger program.
