There are no lodging, gasoline, grocery, or restaurant services available in the park. These services are available in the nearby towns of Hot Springs (15 minutes south) and Custer (25 minutes north). For information on lodging and other services in:

Camping at Wind Cave

The Elk Mountain Campground is open year-round and is the only campground in the park. Sites are first-come, first-served and the campground usually does not fill. Drinking water and flush restrooms are available in the summer months.

Camping Outside the Park

Custer State Park, bordering Wind Cave National Park to the north, has campgrounds, restaurants, motels, and some grocery services. Information is available on the Custer State Park website or by calling 605-255-4515. Camping reservations for Custer State Park may be made by calling 1-800-710-2267. For information about state park lodging, please call 1-888-875-0001.

Numerous campgrounds and cabins are also available throughout the Black Hills National Forest. Reservations can be made through www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
