Become a White House Junior Ranger

Children can have fun, learn about the park, and earn their Junior Ranger badge. The booklet is designed for ages 6-12, but children of all ages are welcome.

Step 1: Ask for a Junior Ranger Activity Guide at the White House Visitor Center information desk.
Step 2: Complete at least four activites. You will be given a pencil and there will be benches to sit down.
Step 3: Once the activites are complete, show your guide to the ranger or volunteer sitting at the information desk to be sworn in as an official Junior Ranger! You'll receive a certificate which you can get stamp and a badge. A helpful hint: be ready to share with the ranger all you have learned from your visit!

Stamp Your National Parks Passport

Stop at the White House Visitor Center information desk to have your NPS passport book stamped. We have three stamps available:

  • World War One Memorial
  • President's Park-The White House
  • Star Spangled Banner National Historic Trail

Track Trail Adventure: President's Park Scavenger Hunt

In partnership with the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation's Kids in Parks program, kids of all ages could learn stories about the park the The Track Trail adventure. This map follows a 1.5 mile loop around the White House and features many historic buildings and monuments. Along the way, visitors are encouraged to follow a scavenger hunt as they explore the trail. For more information about the program, visit the Kids in Parks website.
