November Public Programs at War in the Pacific National Historical Park

 

November 11, Saturday: 9 am at Ga’an Point, Agat - “Keep Guam Beautiful”

This community cleanup will take place at Ga’an Point in the village of Agat - a former WWII invasion site. Cold water in coolers, protective gloves, and trash bags will be provided. Please bring refillable water bottles and wear closed-toe shoes, hats, and sunscreen. All ages are welcome. Service learning credit is available. For more information, contact e-mail us.

 

November 16 & 17: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Visitor Center - “Teaching Methods: Parks as Classrooms”

War in the Pacific National Historical Park and our partner Pacific Historic Parks is offering an educator professional development workshop. The workshop will engage educators to use park sites as a resource for teaching a variety of subjects. Educators of all grade levels are welcome and can earn one graduate credit. Preregistration is required, and space is limited. November 19, Sunday: 2 pm at the Visitor Center - “Science Sunday”

Science Sunday features current research projects happening right here on Guam and the Micronesian region. Open to all ages. No pre-registration is required. For more information on this event, call 333-4050 or email gureefmonitoring@gmail.com.
