Volunteer researchers Josh Sayers and Danielle Ethier captured these photographs while tracking wolves during the winter of 2008 in Voyageurs National Park.
Photos taken October 2, 2002. Park employees last saw the eagles drying out an separate rocks out of sight of each other. Park biologist Lee Grim theorizes that the eagles began a territory dispute in the air and carried it into the water.
