Voyageurs National Park to Host Paddle Carving Workshop

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN – Voyageurs National Park will host a paddle carving workshop on Sunday, March 19, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center. Park Ranger, Miranda Challeen, will guide participants in the art of carving a canoe paddle that is both functional and beautiful.
 
Registration and payment can be made through Voyageurs National Park Association (VNPA) at http://voyageurs.org/event/canoe-paddle-carving-workshop/. A fee of $32.00 per participant is required to cover the cost of materials. There is a minimum number of participants required for the class to occur. Minimum age is 14. Participants will be notified prior to the class if the minimum number has not been reached. Registration is required by Friday, March 3, 2017 to ensure materials will arrive on time. The Paddle Carving Workshop is part of the Winter at Voyageurs Event Series. The event series is sponsored, in part, by Voyageurs National Park Association.
