INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN:Voyageurs National Park seeks artwork for the 2015 Kids Art Show in honor of the park's 40th birthday. Children from kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to participate by creating a drawing and writing a short story related to this year's theme:

Celebrate Voyageurs National Park!

There are many reasons to celebrate Voyageurs National Park and what makes this a special place. Students are encouraged to draw a picture that illustrates why they want to celebrate the park and write a short passage to accompany their drawing. Do they like to go snowshoeing in the park? Maybe they enjoy seeing the animals who call this place home.

All entries will be on display at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center during National Park Week, April 18-26.

To participate, students can locate the art show template on the park website at www.nps.gov/voya/learn/kidsyouth/kids-art-show.htm. Be sure to include the student's name, grade, school, and teacher. Artwork can be dropped off at Voyageurs National Park Headquarters, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. Artwork may also be mailed to:
