The Superintendent and staff of Vicksburg National Military Park would like to cordially invite the public to the annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 10, 2011, from 1:00 pm to 4:00pm.
This year festivities will take place at the newly-restored, historic Shirley House, located at Tour Stop #2 on the park tour road. Those attending the open house will be able to interact with park staff, and meet visitors from around the country and the world.
Open house activities will include making Civil War-era holiday decorations to place on park's tree.
There will be light refreshments served, and the park entrance fee will be waived for anyone wanting to attend the open house.
Stop by and share some holiday cheer and Vicksburg history with those of us at Vicksburg National Military Park.
