Virginia State Memorial, Botetourt Artillery Marker
The Virginia Botetourt Artillery monument is located outside of Vicksburg National Military Park on former park property in the City of Vicksburg, on the southeast corner of North Frontage Road and Iowa Avenue. This unit was attached to Maj. Gen. Carter L. Stevenson's Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Capt. Joseph W. Anderson (killed in action 16 May 1863), Capt. J.
