Monument located on the south side of Union Avenue approximately 100 yards west of the Navy Memorial. This unit was attached to Maj. Gen. Francis P. Blair's 2d Division, Maj. Gens William T. Sherman's and Frederick Steel's XV Army Corps, and commanded by Capt. James F. Putnam.
