Monument located on Union Avenue 100 yards south of Pemberton Avenue. Also a multiple iron tablet located on the east end of the Anshe Chesed Jewish Cemetery between Confederate Avenue and Clay Street; a marker designating the afternoon assault of May 22, 1863, located between Clay Street & the railroad near the Clay Street overpass; a marker designating a sharpshooter's line located in the woods 1300' east of the Mississippi Memorial; and a marker designating the camp site located on Union Ave. just south of Park Tour Stop #1. This unit was attached to Col. George B. Boomer (killed 22 May 1863) & Col. Holden Putnam's 3rd Brigade of Brig. Gen'ls Isaac F. Quimby & John E. Smith's (assumed command 3 June 1863) 7th Division, Maj. Gen. James B. McPherson's 17th Corps and was commanded by Col. William E. Small. Later the regiment was attached to Brig. Gen. Charles L. Matthies Brigade of Brig. Gen. John McArthur's Provisional Division, Maj. Gen'l Cadwallader C. Washburn's XVI Army Corps (Detachment) on Maj. Gen'l William T. Sherman's exterior line
