Education Technician Interns


We are excited to announce a new opportunity to work with the National Park Service at the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt National Historic Sites!

Thanks to a generous grant from the National Park Foundation, we have funding to host eligible intern candidates at our historic sites in Hyde Park, NY. We are looking for candidates that are interested in the fields of public history and education.

  • Job duties: Primarily focusing on expanding our educational efforts for both field trips to the park and conducting outreach to area schools.

  • Accomodations: Housing may be available. Regardless of housing options, candidates must personally acquire reliable transportation to and from the site.

  • Compensation: A stipend will be issued on a monthly basis.

  • Time Committment: Weekly schedules and internship duration can be discussed upon interest. The park will work with interns to create a schedule that satisfies their requirements and ensures adequate time for the completion of all assigned projects.

  • Internship Period: We are happy to discuss possibilities for this position to start the summer or fall of 2026 to better suit your program requirements.

There are three main appointment types of which the public should be aware.
