Traveling By Car

If you're using GPS, use this address to avoid being directed to the military base instead of the visitor center:

Pearl Harbor National Memorial
1 Arizona Memorial Place
Honolulu, HI 96818

From Waikiki and Downtown Honolulu

The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is about a 45-minute drive from Waikiki. You’ll need to navigate Honolulu traffic, especially during peak hours. Most of the drive is straightforward, but be sure not to accidentally take the exit for Hickam Air Force Base.

Step-by-Step Directions:
  1. Begin on Ala Moana Blvd./Nimitz Highway or H-1 West.
  2. On H-1, take exit 15A marked "Arizona Mem./Stadium."
  3. Avoid the "Hickam AFB/Pearl Harbor" exit.
  4. Continue on HI-99 (Kamehameha Highway).
  5. At the 4th traffic light, turn left onto Arizona Memorial Place.
  6. At the base of the hill, turn right to find parking. Please park before unloading.

From West Oahu (Ewa, Kapolei, Waianae)

If you're coming from West Oahu, the drive to the visitor center is shorter than from Waikiki. You'll primarily use H-1 East and then follow signs for Aiea and the stadium.

Step-by-Step Directions:
  1. Start on H-1 East toward Aiea.
  2. Take exit 13A onto Moanalua Road.
  3. Stay in the far-right lane and take the "Stadium/Aiea" exit.
  4. Turn left at the first stoplight onto HI-99 East (Kamehameha Highway).
  5. Continue on HI-99 and turn right onto Arizona Memorial Place.
  6. At the base of the hill, turn right to find parking. Please park before unloading.

From East Oahu (Kaneohe, Kailua)

From East Oahu, your drive will take you along H-3 West, with scenic views along the way. Just be sure to follow the signs for the stadium once you reach the Halawa area.

Step-by-Step Directions:
  1. Start on H-3 West.
  2. Take exit 1C toward Halawa/Camp Smith/Aiea/Stadium.
  3. Turn left on Kahuapaani Street and follow signs for Stadium/Honolulu.
  4. Turn right onto Salt Lake Blvd. and follow signs for the stadium.
  5. Turn left onto HI-99 East (Kamehameha Highway).
  6. Turn right onto Arizona Memorial Place.
  7. At the base of the hill, turn right to find parking. Please park before unloading.

From North Oahu (North Shore, Haleiwa)

The drive from the North Shore follows HI-99 and H-2 South before merging onto H-1 East. Keep an eye out for exit 13A, which will guide you toward the stadium and Aiea.

Step-by-Step Directions:
  1. Start on HI-99 South, then continue onto HI-80.
  2. Merge onto H-2 South toward Honolulu.
  3. Continue onto H-1 East and take exit 13A onto Moanalua Road.
  4. Stay in the far-right lane and take the "Stadium/Aiea" exit.
  5. Turn left at the first stoplight onto HI-99 East (Kamehameha Highway).
  6. Continue on HI-99 and turn right onto Arizona Memorial Place.
  7. At the base of the hill, turn right to find parking. Please park before unloading.

From Honolulu International Airport

The visitor center is just a 10-15 minute drive from the airport. Whether you're coming from or heading to the airport, follow these steps to ensure a smooth trip.

Step-by-Step Directions to the Airport:
  1. Turn right onto HI-99 (Kamehameha Highway) from the visitor center.
  2. Continue through the traffic lights and follow signs for either "92 Airport" or H-1 East.
  3. On H-1 East, take the first exit marked for the airport.
  4. On Nimitz, continue straight through the lights until you see the airport sign, then take a right.

Step-by-Step Directions to the Visitor Center:

  1. From the airport, take either H1-West or HI-92 West.
  2. Merge onto HI-99 West (Kamehameha Highway) following signs for "HI-99 W/Arizona Mem. Stadium."
  3. At the 4th traffic light, turn left onto Arizona Memorial Place.
  4. At the base of the hill, turn right to find parking. Please park before unloading.

Important Reminders

  • Avoid the Ford Island Bridge: The visitor center is located just before the Ford Island bridge, which is restricted to military personnel. If you accidentally turn onto the bridge, you will be instructed to turn around. Take the next right onto Kamehameha Highway and then right onto Arizona Memorial Place.

  • Access to Ford Island Sites: The Battleship Missouri and the Pacific Aviation Museum are located on Ford Island. Visitors can access these via a shuttle from the visitor center.

As of April 30, 2022, the westbound bus stop at Arizona Memorial (stop #4322) is closed for routes 20 and 42. This closure is in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until further notice.
