Research Access

The Library and Archives are available to the general public as well as National Park Service staff, volunteers, partners, and contractors. The Library & Archives are available to the general public by appointment only. See the contact information below to make an appointment or click here.

Reference Assistance

Reference assistance about the collections is available, but we are unable to undertake lengthy research investigations. Request for reference services can be made by telephone, fax, mail, e-mail, or in person.

Circulation

Library materials are available to park staff and volunteers on a circulating basis. Non-NPS staff and volunteers may use materials while on site in the park library.

Archival collections are only available for on-site research.

Availability of Copies

Copying services are available at a nominal fee for most materials limited only by copyright or legal restrictions. Copies of photographs in archival collections are available for reproduction at a nominal fee upon request.

All researchers are advised to comply with U.S. copyright law as it relates to the use of photographic reproductions and photocopying of archival materials.
