National Trails Day is the country’s largest celebration of trails. National Trails Day events take place in every state across the country the first Saturday of June each year. Valley Forge National Trails Day usually features guided hikes and bird walks, a Trails Expo, and various stewardship projects. In 2016, the public joined in to participate in Weed Warriors and 44 Student Conservation Association Centennial Volunteer Ambassadors completed a trail maintenance project.
