TULE SPRINGS TO COMMEMORATE SECOND YEAR BY SIGNING AGREEMENT

LAS VEGAS -- Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument is celebrating its second anniversary Dec. 19 with the signing of an exchange agreement.

Jon Burpee, superintendent, Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument, will preside over the event. Special remarks will be provided by North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee; Shannon Raborn, representing U.S. Sen. Harry Reid; and Brian Ragsdale, representing the Villages at Tule Springs.

"Collaborative partnerships such as this are essential to the growth of our region and state, and I’m thrilled to be working with the National Park Service, Protectors of Tule Springs and the Villages at Tule Springs to make the Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument more accessible to our growing number of residents and visitors," North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee said. "This historical site is a unique asset that we in North Las Vegas are extremely proud of, and we are excited to share it with the world."
