Tumacácori National Historical Park Superintendent Bob Love announced this week the release of the park's Draft General Management Plan and Environmental Assessment (GMP). Concluding a rigorous multi-year planning effort, the process has produced a plan that will guide management of Tumacácori for the next 15 to 20 years. The GMP will provide park managers guidance for making informed decisions about the future of park resources and visitor experiences within the park. This planning effort replaces the park's 1996 GMP. The park values the public's thoughts and perspectives, and will provide interested parties an opportunity to review and comment on the plan. Two open house meetings will be held: Tuesday, March 5, 2013 Wednesday, March 6, 2013 |
