Throughout 2016, the National Park Service (NPS) will be celebrating its 100th anniversary. The NPS was created in August of 1916 to care for our most precious public lands. Tumacácori will be celebrating with a variety of special programs throughout the year, including a Centennial Concert Series. The third of these concerts will take place inside the historic mission church on Saturday, February 20, at 3:00 p.m.

The February 20 concert will feature the music of Marimba Sahuaro, brought to us by the Mexican Consulate in Nogales, and the Nogales, Sonora arts organization IMFOCULTA. This will be the Nogales, Sonora based Marimba Sahuaro's third concert in the mission church. The group is an audience favorite, with their lively renditions of traditional and classical music adapted for performance by multiple musicians on a single, large marimba. This performance will feature primarily classical music.

Admission to the park is $5.00 per adult, free for federal pass holders and children under age 16. There is no additional charge for the concert. There is no heating in the open structure and seating is limited;dress appropriately for the day's weather, and come early.
