Tumacácori National Historical Park will be joining national park units across the country in celebrating Veterans Day with fee-free entry into the park on Friday, November 11, 2016. The 413 units of the National Park System preserve and protect many of the country’s most significant scenic and cultural places. Visit our website at https://www.nps.gov/ “This is just one small way that we can recognize and honor the men and women who are serving, or have served our country as members of the military,” said Tumacácori Superintendent Bob Love. The Tumacácori visitor center will have Tumacácori Annual Passes, along with Interagency Senior and Annual Passes available for those who wish to purchase them. Interagency Military Annual Passes are also available any day of the year. These special passes, available at no charge to active members of the military, provide free entrance to all national parks and other federal sites for a full year. The Western National Parks Association will be featuring a 15% off sale in their park stores on this fee-free weekend, including the Tumacácori visitor center store. For more information on Tumacácori National Park, please visit the park's web site at www.nps.gov/tuma, or call the visitor center at 520-377-5060. |
