Your Fee Dollars at Work

Proceeds from individual entry fees, pass sales, and donations are used for conserving our national public lands. This revenue also helps maintain, develop, and improve visitor services and recreational opportunities.

 

Entrance Fees and Recreational Passes

Entrance Fees

Tonto National Monument Individual Pass - $10.00 per person (U.S. Dollars)
Individual passes are valid for 7 days after date of purchase and are non-transferable. Children 15 years old and under are free. All Interagency Passes are accepted. Passes are valid only when the pass owner is present.

Fee Free Days

All National Park Service sites will waive entrance fees on the following days in 2023:

  • January 16: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

  • April 22: First Day of National Park Week

  • August 4: Great American Outdoors Act Signing Day

  • September 23: National Public Lands Day

  • November 11: Veterans Day

Commercial Tours

Tour groups are charged the same fees as individuals ($10.00 per person, 16 years of age and older). Individuals may use Interagency Passes.

Permits

For some activities at Tonto National Monument, a Special Use Permit is required. These activities include commercial filming or photography, commercial events, etc. Please follow the link to read more or contact us via phone or email.

Educational Trips

School groups may apply for an Educational Fee Waiver. This must be done in advance of your visit to Tonto. Please visit the Education page for more information.

 

America The Beautiful: National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Passes are only available at Tonto National Monument when the Lower Cliff Dwelling Trail is open and fees are being collected.
