Your Fees Dollars at Work

Proceeds from individual entry fees, pass sales, and donations are used for conserving our national public lands. This revenue also helps maintain, develop, and improve visitor services and recreational opportunities.

 

Entrance Fees and Recreational Passes

Entrance Fees

Tonto National Monument Individual Pass - $5.00 per person (U.S. Dollars)
Individual passes are valid for 7 days after date of purchase and non-transferable. Children 15 years old and younger are free. All Interagency Passes are accepted. Passes are valid only when the pass owner is present.

Fee Free Days

All National Park Service sites will wave entrance fees on the following days in 2016:

  • January 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
  • April 16 through 24: National Park Week
  • August 25 through 28: National Park Service's Birthday
  • September 24: National Public Lands Day
  • November 11: Veterans Day

Commercial Tours

Tour Groups are charges the same fees as individuals, $5.00 per person 16 years of age and older. Individuals may use Interagency Passes.

Permits

For some activities at Tonto National Monument, a Special Use Permit is required. These activities include commercial filming or photography, commercial events, etc. Please follow the link to read more or contact us via phone or email.

Educational Trips

School Groups may apply for a Fee Waver. This must be done in advance to your visit to Tonto. Please visit the Education page for more information.

2016 Annual Pass

2016 Annual Pass - Cost $80.00 (U.S. Dollars)

This pass is available to the general public and provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a year, beginning from the date of sale.

The pass admits the pass holder(s) and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle areas and pass holder +3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can be obtained in person at the monument, or online at USGS - America the Beautiful Annual Pass.

 
Senior pass
Seinor Pass

Senior Pass - Cost $10.00 (U.S. Dollars)

This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over. The pass provides access to, and use of Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Stand Amenity Fee.

The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder +3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can be obtained in person at the monument, or online at USGS - America the Beautiful Senior Pass.

 
Access
Access Pass

Access Pass - Free

This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities. The pass provides access to, and use of Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee.

Documentation is required to obtain the pass. Acceptable documentation includes: statement by a licensed physician; document issued by a Federal agency such as the Veteran's Administration, Social Security Disability Income or Supplemental Security Income; or documentation issued by a State agency such as a vocational rehabilitation agency. The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder +3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can be obtained in person at the monument.

 
4th Grade Pass
4th Grade Pass
2016 Annual 4th Grade Pass - Free
Available to U.S. 4th graders (including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age) with a valid Every Kid in a Park paper voucher. The pass is valid for the duration of the 4th grade school year through the following summer (September - August). Paper vouchers can be obtained by visiting the Every Kid in a Park website and can be exchanged for the Annual 4th Grade Pass at Federal recreation sites that charge Entrance or Standard Amenity Fees. Digital versions of the voucher (such as on smartphones or tablets) will not be accepted to exchange for an Annual 4th Grade Pass. The pass is non-transferable. 2016 Military Pass
Military Pass

2016 Annual Military Pass - Free

This free pass is designed for active duty military personnel. As gratitude for your services, this pass will grant Active Duty Military access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee.

This pass admits the pass holder(s) and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder +3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free). The pass can be obtained in person at the monument.

 
2016 VIP Pass
Volunteer Pass

2016 Volunteer Pass - Free

This pass is for volunteers acquiring 250 service hours on cumulative basis. It provides access to, and use of Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance or Standard Amenity Fee for a year, beginning from the date of award.

The pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle at per vehicle fee areas and pass holder +3 adults, not to exceed 4 adults, at per person fee areas (children under 16 are admitted free).
