Tonto National Monument will have a delayed opening on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, so all staff can participate in a Psychological Safety Stand Down. The monument will open the gates at 11:00 am. The Lower Cliff Dwelling Trail and Visitor Center will be affected by the delayed opening and will not open to the public until 11:00 am.
Safety is a core value and priority of the NPS. This will be the first service wide stand down and National Park Service Sites across the country will collectively pause operations so all employees can participate and receive training focused on psychological safety.
Please check the Tonto National Monument website and social media accounts for updated information on hours and closures. Thank you for your understanding and support.
