Facebook Contest Rules and Regulations

Every month Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve will hold a photography contest. There will be a monthly theme announced, which will be open to artist expression. Photographs will be accepted by Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve for the first two weeks of every month.The images will then be uploaded onto the Timucuan Ecological and Historical Preserve Facebook page where individuals will be able to vote on their favorite photograph for the month by "liking" the picture.The image that receives the most likes will have their photograph displayed as the cover photo for the Timucuan Preserve page for the next month.

Eligibility:

The Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve Facebook Photo Contest is open to all persons living within the United States of America and its territories.At the time and date of photograph submission, the individual submitting the image must be 18 years of age or older.National Park Service staff and volunteers and their immediate families are allowed to enter the contest at their own discretion.

How and When to Enter:

The theme for the month will be posted on the Facebook page and on the park website at nps.gov/timu, along with a reminder of the entry dates. Photographs will be accepted from the 1st of each month at 12:00am to the 14th at 11:59pm to Ariel_Johnson@partner.nps.gov. The photographs will then be posted to the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve Facebook page in an album for the public to vote on their favorite photograph by "liking." Photo Submission Terms and Restrictions: By submitting an entry each individual

1)Is stating that the photograph is owned by the entrant.All persons in the photograph under the age of 18 must have written permission from their parent or legal guardian to be featured in the image. The image must be submitted as a .jpg, .gif or .jpeg file format, be non-confidential, have been legally created, not infringe upon copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or their legal or moral rights of any person or entity.The photo must not, at the discretion of the National Park Service, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.Submitters may enclose a caption with their photograph. Disguising or misrepresenting the origin of the content of the photograph will be cause for disqualification.

2)Submission will also grant permission for Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve the unlimited, non-exclusive, worldwide and irrevocable right to modify, create derivative works of, edit, post, publish and/or otherwise use the Submission and all elements embodied therein, including and name and likenesses provided in the Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram site, in any manner and in any and all median now known or hereafter developed, without compensation, notification or permission, without limitations to the manner frequency duration of use, including, without limitation, in advertising, promotion and on the Internet.

3)Photographs that contain sculptures, statues, paintings and other works of art will be accepted as long as they DO NOT contain copyright infringement or fraud.If photographing the work of another the photograph must be an object within an environment and not a full-frame close-up of another person's work.

4)Watermarks are acceptable.If the contestant chooses to place a water mark on their photograph it must appear in the lower right hand corner.If a photograph is received with a watermark that is covering a majority of the photograph the Submitter will be asked to re-submit an adjusted entry within 10 days or before the end of the entry period (11:59pm the 14th of every month).

5)No responsibility is assumed for: any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of Entries, any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, or software;failure of any-email or electric Entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Website, or any combination thereof, including but not limited to any injury of damage to Entrant's or any other person's computer related or resulting from participation in this Contest.

6)All photographs must be taken within the boundaries of Timucuan Ecological &Historic Preserve.

7)Prize: The monthly winner will have their photograph featured as the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve's Facebook page cover photo, as well as on Twitter and Instagram with credit to the Submitter.The photograph may also be used in the national "Find Your Park" campaign promotional materials.

Winner Selection:

The winner will be selected by the greatest number of likes their photograph receives within the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserves Facebook page album.The public will vote from the 12:01am on the 16th of every month until 11:59pm on the 23rd of every month.

License:

By entering the Contest, all entrants grant irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to Authorized Parties, to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries (along with a name credit) in connect with the Contest an promotion of the Contest, in any media now and hereafter known included but not limited to: Display at a potential exhibition of winners, publication of a book featuring select entries in the contest.

Limits to Liability:

By entering the contest, photograph submitters agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve and its partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, and representative from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of their participation in this Contest or any Contest related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse or possession of any prize awarded.
