Welcome to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial
The Jefferson Memorial is a unit of National Mall and Memorial Parks. From within the circular colonnade, a 19 foot tall statue of Thomas Jefferson stands holding the Declaration of Independence and peering out to the Tidal Basin.

National Mall and Memorial Parks is open 24 hours a day. The early evening and morning hours are beautiful and tranquil times to visit.
