Thing to Do
Stop By The Ton Of Goods Display

The gold prospectors passing through Skagway were not slinging a single backpack over their shoulders and hiking into Canada. Each one of them needed 2000 lbs of supplies to get through Canadian customs.
At the Ton of Goods exhibit, you can;
- Take a photos and connect with the statue depicting a wary prospector and his faithful companion
- Marvel at the amount of goods that each person would have taken to the Klondike represented by the stacks of boxes
- Discover what Skagway looked like during the first year of the Klondike Gold Rush through a large scale mural photograph from August 1897
- Delve deeper into the gold rush history by reading the information panels
