Ranger Guided Tours of Dayton's National Park

NPS / Tom Engberg
Visit Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park for ranger programs during the summer months, typically from Memorial day through Labor day. Tours are normally available at the Huffman Prairie Interpretive Center and the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center. A park ranger will offer an interpretive program at 10:30 am on various subjects that may include a neighborhood walk of the Wright-Dunbar neighborhood, the Wright memorial, Huffman prairie, the Wright bicycle company, Dunbar's poetry, and many other topics.
Due to staffing shortages and/or other circumstances beyond our control, tours may not be available every day. Please call the park prior to your visit to inquire if a tour will be scheduled for that day. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.
Tour duration will depend upon the theme and nature of the tour for the day. Typical tours last anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes.
The park offers different types of ranger guided tours every year at many of the sites. Most tours are free of charge to visitors.
Pets must remain under control at all times and owners are expected to pick up after pets and service animals. Pets are not allowed inside buildings. Service animals are permitted inside buidlings.
