
Following guidance from the CDC and recommendations from state and local public health authorities in consultation with NPS Public Health Service Officers, the Visitor Center is currently closed.

An information table is set up next to the entrance each day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can pick up the official national park map and guide and download the mobile app, stamp your Passport, and find the activity books to become Junior Rangers.
You can get ready for your visit by viewing the 12-minute film Adventure and Great Undertakings: Herbert Hoover's Childhood in West Branch.
Then, enjoy exploring the park!
Bookstore & National Parks Passes
The bookstore is currently closed as well, however some items may be ordered online.
Free federal recreation lands passes (Access, Military, and 4th Grade passes) are available by appointment. Call (319) 643-2541 to set up a time. Senior and Annual passes are no longer sold at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site.
Allow yourself about 30 minutes in the Visitor Center.
The Visitor Center is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
