Dialing 585-627-4152 gives you access to three distinct tours. Two tours at Fort Necessity utilize the same stop locations throughout the park. Entering the stop number on the sign, 1 through 7, gives you an introductory tour of the site. Adding 100 to the number on the sign, 101 through 107, gives you a tour that is more specific to George Washington experiences.
The third tour, stops 11 through 21 is a tour of Friendship Hill National Historic Site, 25 miles to the west.
After dialing 585-627-4152 from a mobile device the first time in a day, you will receive a text message containing a link to an on-line version of the tour. The online version contains images and some other features. You may follow the link, or continue to listen to the audio only version on your phone.
