Drive the Encampment Tour Route

NPS Image
The Encampment Tour route consists of nine locations on a ten-mile loop and provides an excellent overview of the history, significance, and scenic views of Valley Forge National Historical Park.
The easiest way to experience the Encampment Tour is to drive the route and stop at each of the tour locations.
Pick up a hard copy of the park brochure at an information kiosk (available at all of the tour stops) and follow the blue line on the map to proceed along the route.
You can also supplement your experience by following the tour in the NPS mobile app, calling in to the Cell Phone Guide, and by purchasing the Audio Tour (available to stream, download, or as an audio CD) from The Encampment Store.
Along the route you'll stop at nine different locations around the park and see many of the iconic sights of Valley Forge, including the soldier huts at Muhlenberg's Brigade, the National Memorial Arch, George Washinton's Headquarters building, and numerous statues, monuments, and memorials.

All tour stop locations are wheelchair accessible.
The Audio Tour is available from The Encampment Store.
