Essential Question
What was life like during Abraham Lincoln’s early life?
Objective
Students will use PowerPoint or similar program to make slides about Lincoln's early years.

Students can find lots of photos to use at Photo Gallery - Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park (U.S. National Park Service) (nps.gov)
Preparation
Students will need access to computers to create slide shows.
Optional – Create the template you want students to use for the slide show.
Lesson Hook/Preview
Brainstorm with the class various things students saw while visiting the birthplace and/or Knob Creek.
Procedure
Provide students with computers and directions to complete a slide show presentation depicting what life looked like for Abraham Lincoln from birth through his early childhood in Kentucky. Students should have images as well as brief explanations on each slide explaining the image or how it relates to Lincoln’s life in Kentucky. Students should have 4-6 slides in the presentation.
